WWI grenade found in Brierley Hill

A WWI grenade has been found in Brierley Hill in the West Midlands resulting in a controlled detonation.
An unexploded hand grenade dating back to the First World War was found in a back garden shed in Pensnett, Brierley Hill.
Following the discovery, the Royal Logistics Corps’ Bomb Disposal division carried out a controlled explosion, working with the West Midlands Police’s tactical support team.
The grenade was buried beneath sandbags ahead of the detonation.
